Back to School Dance: A Bit Different This Year
Written by Aislinn Martin
Traditionally, North Scott’s back to school dance has been held after the Soap Scrimmage in the commons. It is a casual and fun event to kick off the new school year that allows students to spend time with classmates they hadn’t seen all summer. However, this year the details of the event will be a little different.
First, the location will be moved from the commons. A local DJ offered his services free to the school as a contribution to the hunger drive, and since he works from equipment set up on a truck, the dance will be held in the science (west) parking lot. The date has also been moved to Septemeber 10th, after the home football game versus North. The dance benefits the Student Hunger Drive, so admission is 2 cans or $3.
Show up, have fun, and contribute to a great cause.
