No purses allowed in classroom

Purses in classrooms are a thing of the past.

Purses in classrooms are a thing of the past.

Beginning 09/10 school year purses will no longer be allowed in classrooms.  This change in student handbook policy follows a debate among staff and administration to enforce the current no backpack policy.

Purses and backpacks may be carried into school, but then must be stored in a locker.

Other changes in school policy include no “revealing clothing” and shorts and skirts “must be mid-thigh” added to student dress code, no Saturday detentions, and a strict make-up work policy for truant students.

Students will receive a new student planner outlining these changes during advisory Thursday, August 13.
