It’s A Wonderful Play

George Bailey (Nate Curlott) gives up as Clarence (Brady Friedan) has a different idea.

As the curtains are pulled aside and opening night begins, students wait anxiously to perform. After two months of practice and a little nervousness, they performed with excellence. The cast nailed the Frank Capra classic, “It’s A Wonderful Life” with perfection.
Seniors, Nate Curlott and Olivia Hawley, nailed leading roles as George Bailey and Mary Hatch. It’s A Wonderful Life, ignites the spirit of Christmas (maybe a little too early) and makes one realize the importance of friends and family, over money.
If you have not seen the classic, an angel shows George Bailey what life would be like without him and how he has affected the lives all around him.
Everyone acting in the play put forth one hundred percent effort into mastering his or her character. Senior Jake Garden, as Mr. Potter, realistically portrayed the old, grumpy rival businessman in a wheel chair; Alex Kolwey seductively executed the role of Violet. And even six-year old Madison Phipps enchanted the stage as George Bailey’s youngest daughter Zuzu.
From the smallest part to the most dominant, Lancer Productions pulled together an amazing and successful play that everyone should take time to see. The play shows this weekend – October 30, 31, and November 1. The Friday and Saturday shows begins at 7pm and the Sunday show is at 2pm. Come support your classmates!
