Lancers Make Full Recovery Against Knights
By Grayson Schmidt
Anyone who plays sports knows how much a loss hurts. Losing three however, can be devastating, especially for a team who isn’t accustomed to losing. That is how the Lancer football team has been feeling for the last three weeks. After their 6-3 Homecoming loss to Burlington, it seemed as if the Lancers had dug themselves into a hole they couldn’t get out of.
At this time some teams would just assume the season is lost, luckily for North Scott, that thought hadn’t even crossed their minds. Last Thursday night the Lancers rolled in to Brady Street Stadium to take on their long-standing rival, the Assumption Knights.
The cold rainy night didn’t seem to bother the Lancers. After the North Scott defense forced the Assumption offense to go 3-and-out on their first drive, their offense was able to drive down the field and score on a 43-yard touchdown run by junior running back Aaron Huber.
From that point on the Lancers set the tone for the game scoring 3 more touchdowns in the 2nd half. Despite the weather, the Lancers were able to come out on top with the final score 27-13.
