Tennis Open Courts Now Open
by Julie Waner
Looking for a new way to spend your Mondays after school? Want to get more involved in school activities without a daily obligation? Are you ready to try something new and exciting? Then Lancer tennis open courts Monday nights may be for you!
From now until mid-October at 6 PM, Coach Guerin has set aside time to get people involved in tennis through open court nights at the high school. Whether you have been playing all through high school or are a freshman looking for something new, this is the perfect opportunity to get a taste of what our tennis program has to offer.
With 10 new ball hoppers, a tennis ball mower, and a ball machine at their disposal, the possibilities are endless for those who are willing to give it a try. And that’s not all the new equipment for the Lancer tennis players; adding onto the 12 new uniforms the girls’ team ordered last year, Guerin is planning to order 10-12 new warm-up jackets and pants.
So whether you want to improve your game, just spend some time with your friends, or you are looking forward to some new shirts and sweats in the spring season, stop over and check out what tennis is all about at our very own courts.
